se parli di usare un Crystal Report, allora puoi lavorare con la selectionFormula dell'oggetto report che hai come sorgente e impostare i filtri che vuoi.
ReportDocument report = new ReportDocument();
report.Load(@"c:\report.rpt");
report.DataDefinition.RecordSelectionFormula = "{campoid} > 10 and ..
ps: Con questa tecnica puoi impostare i filtri, non puoi modificare la lista dei campi del report...
