Ciao a tutti,
vi chiedo questo.
Ho installato un processore Pentium 4 (3,80GHz - FSB 800) su scheda madre FSB 800/1066/1333 MHz. La scheda madre in questione (dalle specifiche del produttore) supporta processori Pentium 4 fino a 3,60GHz...la mia CPU da 3,80GHz può quindi non consentire al sistema di avviarsi correttamente?

Sintomi:
la scheda madre si alimenta ma non produce alcun beep. Tutte le altre componenti sono funzionanti (testate correttamente su altri sistemi).

Altra domanda: il modello del processore è essenziale? O durante l'installazione di una CPU è possibile tener conto "soltanto" di: "velocità CPU" e "FSB"?

Esempio tabella compatibilità riportata dal costruttore (è l'esempio di un processore preso a caso per mostrare nel dettaglio le sue caratteristiche complete):

vai sul sito del produttore della Mainboard e verifica di avere l'ultima versione del Bios

diversamente scarica l'aggiornamento e il tuo processore verrà riconosciuto

se mi dai il modello della Main ti aiuto a cercarlo

per verificare la tua versione e per aggiornare però dovresti trovare il modo
di farlo partire, magari montando un processore compatibile, sempre che tu ce l'abbia
